Rapid Response 3D Survey: 2003 Hatteras Breach, North Carolina
   
Geodynamics was contracted by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Coastal Inlets Research Program (CIRP) to assess and monitor a barrier island breach formed by Hurricane Isabel on September 18, 2003. Efforts by Geodynamics included high-resolution topographic and shallow water bathymetric surveys of the breach and surrounding areas.

Data collected was used to create three-dimensional (3D) elevation models of the breach topo/bathymetric change assessment and for use in physical modeling by members of CIRP.
