Geodynamics was contracted by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wilmington Districts in August 2004 to assess pre-disposal conditions at the Cape Lookout National Seashore directly adjacent to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse. Efforts by Geodynamics included high-resolution, high-density topographic and shallow water swath-based bathymetric surveys. These data were collected to create acurate digital elevation models (DEM) of the survey area in support of engineering design and possible future monitoring efforts

Dense multibeam bathymetric data combined with stratigically aqcuired RTK-GPS beach survey data and custom interpolation parameters allowed us to create a highly accurate topo-bathy digital elevation model.
